Part time jobs in Chennai

Though Chennai is one of the four prime metropolitan cities in India, yet as far as part time jobs are concerned, it is still not very popular here. This is because this city has only recently opened itself to the IT industry. Apart from that the city has held onto its conventional and traditional ideologies for a long, long time.

The city essentially has propagated the need for the youngsters to first complete their formal education and then enter the job market. The elders of the household would keep aside a large part of their earnings to provide the best of education to their children, and for them the only choices were to become doctors, engineers, architects, lawyers or accountants, amongst very few others. And for the women it was the nursing profession.

However, with modernization coming in, the city, so to speak has been witnessing a wind of change. Now, with the IT industry, and other global aspects, which include escalation in the retail business, there is an increase in the opportunities for part time jobs in Chennai.

Yet, however, most of the womenfolk are not allowed to step out to work; those married and settled and well into their forties. However, the younger tribe of the populace is allowed to work and study, as people have started realizing the need of the hour - knowledge and experience together. One without the other is incomplete education for the youth.
